Liberty Specialty Markets appoints Beatriz Protasio to the Newly Created Role of Head of Distribution for Latin America and the US

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, today announced the appointment of Beatriz Protasio as Head of Distribution for Latin America and the US.

Protasio, who will be based in Miami, is responsible for business development and retention across the region, drawing upon Liberty Mutual’s full range of commercial insurance products to help brokers and buyers better manage the complex risks they face. She will report to LSM President for Latin America and the US Ronald Bolaños and LSM Head of Business Development and Market Relationships Mark Stephenson.

“The appointment of Beatriz is crucial for our growth in these markets and to continue to provide exceptional value to our brokers and clients.” said Bolaños. “Throughout her 18 years in the commercial insurance industry, Protasio has driven organizational success by focusing on the customer, streamlining business procedures and taking a holistic approach to developing solutions.”

 Prior to her new role, Protasio served as LSM’s Brazil’s Country Manager, where she successfully developed and scaled the operation and strengthened relationships with local brokers and clients.
