Fraudulent activity alert in respect of Wausau Insurance Company. There appears to be fraudulent activity in relation to a third party purporting to act on behalf of Wausau Insurance Company (UK) Limited (“Wausau”). Wausau is an insurance company based in the UK and it is part of the Liberty Mutual Group. However, Wausau stopped writing insurance policies in the 1990s and is no longer active. The UK authorities including the UK Police and the FCA have been notified. The FCA issued a clone notice on this entity to warn potential policyholders.
