Liberty Specialty Markets appoints Richard Deguettes as General Manager, France

16 April 2018, LONDON & PARIS – Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has appointed Richard Deguettes as General Manager for France.

Based in LSM’s office in Paris, Richard will join the business in mid-May reporting to Kadidja Sinz, LSM’s Head of Europe.

Kadidja Sinz said: “LSM is supporting European businesses in their search for growth by providing a broader range of specialised covers combined with a more personalised approach, tailor made to their unique needs. Richard brings a powerful combination of skills in helping us to deliver on that strategy; excellent technical underwriting skills, significant market-facing experience and strong leadership. This key appointment will enable us to sustain the high level of insight, service and support that our brokers and insureds expect from us in France.”

Richard joins LSM from AIG France where he has been Deputy Director General since 2016. He has 25 years’ experience in the insurance market.
