Liberty Specialty Markets appoints Kevin Demmon to the newly created position of property divisional director

Liberty Specialty Markets (Liberty), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Demmon to the newly created position of property divisional director, effective from 19^th March 2026. Based in London, Demmon will report to Henry Nelson, CUO and active underwriter, UK and MENA. 

Demmon’s new position sees him take responsibility for the UK Commercial and D&F International portfolios. Demmon will run the integrated business unit, overseeing the development and delivery of the underwriting strategy, in addition to managing the strategic goals for Liberty’s UK and MENA property divisions.

His wealth of knowledge in the London market will be invaluable in providing direction and priorities as Liberty expands and strengthens its international property offering”

Demmon joins Liberty from Everest, where he was international head of property, running a portfolio of global retail and wholesale business. He brings over two decades of London market experience to the role and has previously held roles at RSA, Swiss Re, XL Insurance and Zurich.
