Our ‘Unsung Heroes’ awards were launched in 2017 to recognise and reward the efforts of individuals who make a significant contribution, in their own time, to a community cause.

Members of the Liberty staff charity committee judge the entries and select a winner, plus runners up, who all receive a cash donation for their cause, plus a small personal prize for themselves.

As part of London’s “City Giving Day” in September, our President & Managing Director announced the winners of the 2020 Unsung Heroes Award.

In 2020, First prize went to Claire Walters, for her volunteering and mentoring work with the Samaritans, an organisation that aims to provide emotional support to anyone in distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide.
