Mike Abdallah

Biography

Mike Abdallah was appointed President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) in February 1999. 

Over the last two decades, he has successfully directed a focused and profitable growth strategy for all product lines across Australia and Asia, and also has product line oversight for Liberty’s Energy and Construction business.

Mike joined Liberty in February 1999 as Executive Vice President to lead the company’s global operations in property/energy, engineering, marine and aviation and to open the Liberty Asia Pacific operations.

Prior to this, Mike was President of Navigators in New York and before that, he spent 25 years with Cigna.  Beginning in claims, Mike’s insurance career spans more than 50 years across many international locations including Sydney, Tokyo, Philadelphia, London and New York.  During his tenure in these cities, he has successfully led and directed both regional and global operations.

Mike has considerable global insurance knowledge and experience, and is recognised within the industry for his ability to successfully lead large and diverse teams within a broad geographic distribution. He has a proven track record for turning around under-performing businesses and more recently, building and sustaining a highly profitable and disciplined regional business.
