Charlotte Swan Artwork

Fragmented Figures exposes the fragility of the female body, physically and mentally. This is conveyed through the use of delicate mediums.

When made the balance of water has to be applied lightly or the work would dissolve but when dried the work is strong just like the female body, representing how the female anatomy destroys itself just to be stronger. The body language reflects the mental state society builds women up to be. Viewing women to be beautiful through skinny beauty standards while also making women cover up and feel pressured into looking a certain way.
