Our ‘Unsung Heroes’ awards were launched in 2017 to recognise and reward the efforts of individuals who make a significant contribution, in their own time, to a community cause.
Members of the Liberty staff charity committee judge the entries and select a winner, plus runners up, who all receive a cash donation for their cause, plus a small personal prize for themselves.
As part of London’s “City Giving Day” in September, our President & Managing Director announced the winners of the 2019 Unsung Heroes Award.
First prize went to Vincent Gilardi, for his contribution towards setting up the charity and being a treasurer. Ayud'Art funds a home shelter for street children in Peru selling Peruvian handicrafts to raise funds from private citizens and foundations.
