Gavin Coley

Biography

Gavin was appointed Claims Manager, Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) in March 2019. Gavin provides technical leadership and management of the claims team, and works strategically across the claims function supporting LSM’s strategy and proposition.

Before his appointment to his current position, Gavin was Technical Head of Claims for Neon Underwriting Limited with responsibility for the delivery and implementation of Neon’s claim strategy and value proposition. He provided technical management and oversight of the claims team and function.

Prior to this role, Gavin was Global Head of Property Claims for MS Amlin Underwriting Limited, where he worked for 16 years.

Gavin was Senior Manager and a member of the Executive Claim group working strategically towards group objectives. He provided technical leadership and was responsible for the management of the property, energy, war, political risk and terrorism claims teams located across UK and Europe.

Gavin joined Amlin in 2001 from Lexington (AIG), where he handled casualty and professional liability claims.

Gavin has sat on various market committees including the LMA Property Insurance Group (which he chaired), Binder Authority Strategic Claims Group, Lloyd’s Market Strategic Group and the LMA Energy Group and currently a member of the International Underwriting Association Energy Claims Group.
